Have you ever been to Eagles Mere?
We are a Victorian village and resort in Sullivan County, Pennsylvania that sits atop a mountain surrounding a glacial lake. We are only 45 minutes North of Williamsport, a little over an hour from Scranton, two hours from Harrisburg or State College, three hours from the Philadelphia suburbs, four from New York City.

This “town that time forgot” is designated a national historic site and had its origins in the late 1800s as a vacation escape for a group of families and as the site of a (ill-conceived) glass factory venture. During the years since, it developed into a resort with a number of large hotels that are all since gone, but it’s many Victorian cottages, some quite large, have survived and prospered as family vacation homes for the summer, the fall foliage season, hunting and fishing, and the winter sports of cross-country skiing, ice skating and the famous Eagles Mere Ice Toboggan Slide.

The ten shops include our wondrous bookstore, custom gold jewelry by Dorothy Fisher, creations by professional artisans and artists, unique gifts and trinkets from exotic countries, women’s clothing, and more.

Perhaps you would like to be a shopkeeper here or, as some have done, open a second shop for your existing business. Just look at the few of our available shops recently created when we renovated and expanded our General Store complex.

As our area and village residents, our innkeepers, our shopkeepers, our vacation homeowners and our constantly returning guests and shoppers all love to say “See you on the Mountain!”
